2011/2012 Registration Information

How to Register

Complete a registration form available here , in the lobby of the Deep River Town Hall, and at the Public Library, Chalk River. New players must include a photocopy of their birth certificate.  Please ensure you include an email address if possible since most correspondence from DRAMHA will be via email. If registering in person, please bring your player’s birth certificate. If registering by mail, please include a photocopy of your player’s birth certificate.

Submit your form and payment to the Registrar via:

• Mail (address on registration form)
• Red drop box located in Deep River Town Hall lobby
• In person at a Registration Night, dates to be announced.

Payment

The first half of the fee is due August 1^st, and the second half due October 1^st submitted as a post-dated cheque. To take advantage of the Early Bird discount, registrations with payment must be received by August 1^st.

Please note that we cannot consider your player registered without the post-dated cheques or other payment, and outstanding fees from last year must also be settled in full.

Fees

Early Bird fee:  $400.00/per player. (For families registering more than two players, first two are full fee, third and more are $225.00 each.)**

After August 1^st the fee will be $450.00 per player (pending room on teams already formed)

**Please note that additional fees will apply to players on Rep Teams commensurate with additional ice time required for those teams. Registrations are numbered in the order of paid receipt. In the event we do not have enough coaches, registrations received over and above the Hockey Canada limit of 19 players per team may be put on a waiting list.

As a pilot project for the 2011/2012 season and based on interest, the Upper Ottawa Valley Minor Hockey League is proposing to run two separate House divisions for Peewee to Midget, one with checking and one without. If you are registering a Peewee to Midget House League player (birth year 2000 or later), please indicate on this form your preference for a checking or non-checking team. No preference given or no form returned will assume checking. Please note that if the numbers are not great enough within our association for one team of each preference, a checking or non-checking team will be put in place according to the majority vote, which will also then be subject to the results league-wide.

 

Rep Program

Players wishing to participate in Rep hockey must indicate their interest on the registration form to be eligible for tryouts and must register before August 15. Checking the box is only an indication of interest, it does not guarantee the player a spot on a Deep River team or commit the player to playing Rep in another Association if Deep River is not able to form a team.

A Deep River Rep team would play as a member of District 5, UOVMHL, with 20 to 24 regular season games played against the other teams in the Rep B league: Pembroke, Petawawa, Renfrew, Arnprior, Muskrat (Cobden/Westmeath/Beachburg), and Valley Storm (Barry’s Bay/Eganville). As with House League, away tournaments would be decided on by each individual team.

An additional fee payable by players will be charged for extra ice time required by Rep teams. If your player is interested in Rep hockey, please check the box on the form and register by August 15.
